There are five steps in the setting up of a Website:
-
Step 1: Obtain a domain name
-
Step 2: Choose a web hosting service
-
Step 3: Decide on the type of website required
-
Step 4: Create a layout design to suit
-
Step 5:Write computer code to actually make the website operate
Most of the steps above are quite straight forward and do not require any special skills.
1) You can purchase your Domain Name from a number of registered Domain Name suppliers at an approximate cost of $40.00 for 2 years.
2) Web Hosting services are available from any number of suppliers at a range of prices - between $100 and $400 per annum. We have used several different hosting companies and would suggest that you to use our preferred host who is quite economical and very efficient.
3) Web sites range from fairly simple advertising sites to complex on-line shopping sites. We use a Web Content Management System to create our web sites which means that the customer can update the site content at any time. For example; an on-line shop can be linked to your MYOB stock control system and when new products are added to your inventory, you can quickly upload them to the Website.
4) Probably the most difficult part of the whole process. It can be very time consuming designing the layout so it is a great advantage if you have a clear idea of the style you want to portray to your customers.
5) This is where we really are needed. All the preceding steps are not terribly difficult but this part is best handled by experts. Our staff are extremely proficent in all aspects of programming for the Web - from writing HTML code to using the Latest Web Content Management Systems. Our Graphic design team utilise the most up to date versions of Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.
We work hard to provide you with the best website for your needs. |
